  • The Total Quality Assurance and Student Service Manager supports the holistic development of students through advocacy, empowerment, leadership, accountability, and community participation. It does this by supporting the Colleges mission and by providing services, advocacy, and crisis management for all students through creative problem-solving, and accessibility.
  • The office of TQA & SS is committed in uploading quality values and principles to all staff and students. As part of strengthening quality offering at Fort Cox, the office of the TQA & SS developed policies and procedures that ensures Compliance to Higher Education bodies such as Council on Higher Education (CHE). These policies and procedures includes continuous curriculum review, academic and examination policies, quality improvement plan, Total Quality Assurance manual, evaluation of teaching and learning strategy. Students and family members are welcome to connect with the TQA & SS Manager shall they experience any crisis or just need someone to talk through a problem or experience they are facing at Fort Cox College.

  • Objectives:

  • Develop / review the curriculum in line with the industry needs and specifications.
  • To develop programme specifications (prospectus). These are standard set of information clarifying what knowledge, understanding, skills and other attributes a student will have developed on successfully completing a specific programme.
  • To develop qualifications framework by setting out the attributes and abilities that can be expected from the holder of a qualification, i.e. certificates and national diploma’s at NQF level 6 / 7.
  • To monitor and evaluate academic programmes by through annual self evaluation programmes.
  • To promote public confidence that the quality and standards for the award of diploma.
  • To review of academic affiliations with other institutions in terms of effective governance and management of standards and quality of learning programs.
  • To develop quality assurance processes and systems (SOP - standard operating systems) in order to affirm that the quality of provision of highest standards.
  • To ensure that staff are capacitated in order to executive quality teaching and service to our customers.
  • To ensure that the college’s quality assurance procedures are designed to fit in with the requirements of the accreditation body i.e. the Council on Higher Education (CHE).
  • To develop procedures for the following:
    -  Institutional and academic programmes audit
    - Annual / semester monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning including students perceptions
    -  Peer evaluation of teaching and learning
    -  Final diploma programme evaluation
    -  Improvement of existing programs and approval of new programs in consultation with already existing body responsible for the task at universities.
    -  Student feedback / tracer study / impact study
    -  Employer feedback / impact study
